Prayer Reflection Video - 21 April 2025

A prayer of Easter hope from Joel Hawksworth - intern with the Northern Baptist Association, placed with Whitley Bay Baptist Church.
 
 

 

Hello
 
I’m Joel Hawksworth and I’m an intern with the Northern Baptist Association, and placed in Whitley Bay Baptist Church. I will be doing a prayer of hope – a prayer of Easter hope.
 
Before I begin, I’d like to tell you a very cool statistic – that church attendance has risen by over 50% in the last six years, and that church attendance among young people has almost quadrupled. Isn’t that amazing? But that being said… hope
 
Almighty Father
We thank you for the hope of Easter
We thank you for the hope that your son Jesus Christ brings
We thank you that this new-founded hope gives us a relationship with you, Father, through your son Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
We pray that this hope is reached to everyone – specifically the young people and the youth of our country, Lord – that need this unconditional hope and unconditional love.
We pray for all the churches across the Baptist Union that  we see that come true.
Bu your power and your glory, Father.
