YBA Day of Prayer and Fasting

"Declare a holy fast....and cry out to the Lord" - Joel 1 v 14

The Yorkshire Baptist Association has called on churches to set aside Tuesday, 22 October, 2013, for a day of prayer and fasting.

'This is a simple way in which we can corporately express our dependence upon God and pray for the life, health and growth of our churches in the Association,' says Regional Minister for Ministry the Revd Graham Ensor.

'There will be several venues across Yorkshire where people can gather and pray together; however, we realise that geography and availability can be limiting which is why we also want to encourage local churches to create their own space where they can pray for neighbouring congregations and ask for God's blessing on the mission and ministry that we partner in together.'
