Personal debt is a burden for millions, with anxiety creating fear, isolation and misery as well as damaging and destroying relationships. Those in debt are to be found throughout society, including the church.
The lies we tell ourselves: ending comfortable myths about poverty
is a major report produced by JPIT in conjunction with the Church of Scotland. It challenges the many widely accepted myths about those who live in poverty. We believe that for justice to be done we must aim to develop a truthful understanding of poverty, its experience and its causes.
