Prayer Reflection Video - 11 March
Living in Unity
Verse:
Psalm 133: 1
Reflection
The reflection that I have for today is taken from Psalm 133 verse 1:
'How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity.'
You see the Greeks had a good word for fellowship – it’s called Koinonia. There’s a story told about a lady called Behannah at one of the Baptist Conventions. She gave her testimony; she was an alcoholic but subsequent conversion to Christ changed her life. She got a standing ovation. She returned to the mic and she said, “Look, you’re not applauding to an old drunk like me – there’s just the Jesus in you seeing the Jesus in me”.
There’s a great truth to that. That’s what koinonia means. We serve one another as if we are serving Christ.
Can we see Jesus in each other today? And live together in unity?
Prayer
Dear heavenly father
Help us to see Jesus in one another.
Take away our prejudices and help us to be perfectly united in mind and thought.
In Jesus’ name
Amen
