Successful half marathon for Latin Link

Baptist Jonathan Leeson, 62, successfully ran his third Reading Half Marathon recently for the charity Latin Link

JonathanLeesonJonathan, a member of Tonbridge Baptist Church in Kent, is the charity’s South of England Area Representative – a job that usually sees him running around between churches in the region. His first-ever half marathon, representing the international charity Latin Link, was in London in 2008.

Latin Link, whose offices are based in London Street, Reading, works with communities and churches in Latin America and Europe.

Jonathan completed the race in 2hrs, 37 mins and 46 secs. 'My wife is recovering from a major cancer operation, which resulted in my not being able to train as much as I would have liked, so I was pleased with the result,' he said.

Jonathan is seeking sponsorship from local businesses and individuals for his Reading Half Marathon run.

'I want to raise £1,500 for this great cause,' he said. To support Jonathan’s successful Reading Half Marathon run for Latin Link, please visit Jonathan’s sponsorship page at virginmoneygiving.com/jonathanleeson, call 0118 957 7102 or visit latinlink.org.uk/donate
