Baptist Churches with an annual income over £100,000 need to be registered with the Charity Commission. Baptist churches with an income of less than £100,000 per annum are not normally able to register yet.
Charity Registration can seem complicated but the experience of those churches that have already registered is that it was easier than they had expected.
A key element of Charity Registration will be the preparation of an up to date and comprehensive governing document – so please have a look at our page on Governing Documents.
We have prepared leaflets to explain what churches need to do to register with the Charity Commission. It is an online process.
