Local Justice Hubs

The aim of these Hubs is to create a just culture by addressing issues relevant to their local area, working with the Regional Association and College.

At the present time, our first Local Justice Hub has been set up in the Yorkshire Baptist Association, with others being developed in the Heart of England Baptist Association, London Baptist Association and Southern Counties Baptist Association.  Please follow the links to contact these associations to find out more.

1  Local Justice Hubs
Feel Like One Team:
Associations and Partnerships to create Local Justice Hubs comprising a handful of volunteers with a passion and commitment for disability, gender, race, social and other geographically-relevant justice concerns.  They connect at a local level and embody the interdependence of Baptist life.

Embrace Adventure:
In the following areas the Local Justice Hubs can be adventurous:
  • Be a local justice resource to churches, ministers, Partnerships, Associations and Colleges
  • Encourage and challenge churches, Partnerships and Associations to create and/or sustain just cultures

Spirit Led Communities and Inspiring others:
Justice arises as communities are led by the Spirit.  The Justice Hubs located in Associations/ Partnerships should inspire churches, Partnerships and Associations to create all-inclusive Spirit-led communities.

2  National Justice Hubs

Share a Hunger for God’s coming Kingdom
The three National Justice Hubs (Disability, Gender, Race) will continue to:
  • Provide national leadership in their field
  • Resource Local Justice Hubs
  • Be informed and pass on experience and stories at the local level
