Brian McLaren to Explore Inter Faith Engagement on UK tour

Christianity must engage with and respect other faiths. That is the view of public theologian and regular Greenbelt speaker Brian McLaren which he will share with UK audiences later this month

Over six nights in six different cities the US author, speaker and activist will outline his vision for the Christian faith. He will argue Christianity must go beyond a history of defining itself against others. Instead, he will say, it should move towards an engagement and respect for other faiths – being hospitable rather than hostile.

Mr McLaren will be joined in each city by a faith leader from a non-Christian faith tradition as well as a special guest artist.
The tour called 'Peace, Love and Misunderstanding' is inspired by Brian McLaren's new book Why did Jesus, Moses, the Buddha, and Mohammed Cross the Road?Brian McLaren to explore inter

It has been organised by Greenbelt in association with Hodder and Stoughton and begins in Birmingham on 29 November before travelling to Manchester, Newcastle, Bristol, Southampton and London on subsequent nights.
