Introducing Baptist Quarterly 
 

'Interested in understanding the past, but it also wants to speak to the present.' A message from co-editors Sally Nelson and Andy Goodliff as the latest issue of the journal of the Baptist Historical Society is published

We wonder if you’ve heard of the Baptist Quarterly? For those unaware it’s the journal of the Baptist Historical Society  and is over a 100 hundred years old. The journal is published four times a year.

The latest edition is just out and it contains some great articles to read. 

First, a statement that attempts to offer English Baptists (and perhaps others) 'A Shared Understanding of Baptist Identity.' This was written by a small diverse group of Baptists that want to make a positive statement which we (we are two of the authors) believe should be able to find wide agreement. Read it as a church leadership team or even as a church members.

Second, are a series of shorter articles where different Baptists offer what they have learned from Baptist history. Together they show the importance and vitality of Baptist history and why it has something for everyone to learn from. I wonder what you have learned?

The Baptist Quarterly is of course interested in understanding the past, but it also wants to speak to the present and for that reason we believe it has a really important place in our Baptist life.
