Spurgeon's College
Spurgeon's College is the largest Baptist theological college. Rooted in the evangelical tradition, it has trained many ministers who have significantly impacted British churches and communities around the world. Our mission is to train men and women for Christian mission, ministry and leadership in the contemporary world. In the fulfilment of this core activity, the training and education offered by the College aims to integrate knowledge, skills and character so as to enable participants to become confident, competent and credible leaders in the churches and communities they serve. We cultivate a creative learning environment, allowing every student to develop spiritually, academically, emotionally and socially.
In 2022, Spurgeon's College received the power in UK Law to grant taught academic awards up to and including Level 7 Master’s degrees and the power to authorise other institutions to grant degrees in its name. Every student starting on either our Foundation Year, BA in Theology (all pathways), or one of our Postgraduate Degree programmes will be on a Spurgeon’s validated degree programme. In addition, we offer Counselling and Pastoral Supervision courses, as well as a lay training course called Equipped to Minister in London, Birmingham, and Cambridge (Histon).
