If you come to St Hild’s Centre for Baptist Ministry, you will be part of an exciting and innovative community in which mission, pioneering and planting will underpin your formation and training. St Hild College embraces change and challenge and prepares Baptists, Anglicans and Independents for ministry and leadership in the 21st century. Our students comment on the rich community life we share, framed by prayer, worship and a commitment to developing new expressions of the gospel of Jesus Christ in our region.

We offer a range of bespoke pathways into leadership and ministry, with Durham University qualifications up to MA level plus other accessible options for (non-ministerial) students who do not want to take a university award, such as our Seedbed programme. We have a separate formation programme for Ministers-in-Training which will help you to become a confident Baptist leader wherever you are called. We will encourage you in the classroom, on placement, and in your personal life to be self-aware and resilient so that you can serve God for the long haul.
