Information needed before booking
During this booking process, you will have the option to submit any
special requirements
, such as BSL interpreting, accessibility and mobility needs, as well as any dietary requirements for each person in your group.
Please be aware that evening meals will not be provided but as there is a self-catering kitchen at the hostel, we suggest you bring your own food for this or organise your meals with others you may be travelling with. Breakfast for Saturday and Sunday, and packed lunch for the Saturday is included.
You will also be asked about your
travel arrangements between the Telford International Centre and YHA Wilderhope Manor
. There will be the option to meet on the Friday at the Telford International Centre where the programme of Baptist Assembly will take place, which is a 30-minute drive from the hostel. Depending on numbers, we’ll explore getting a minibus.
It is essential that you let us know in advance
if you will need help with transport between the Telford International Centre and YHA Wilderhope Manor.
To help with our planning, you will also be asked to indicate a choice for the
Friday afternoon stream
and
first Saturday morning session
. The options are:
Friday afternoon:
Road to Reconciliation
loosening bonds of collective memory
(a Mission Catalyst production) from BMS World Mission
Art and Evangelism
with Chris Duffett
Everyone, everywhere - explore mission and evangelism
with Sandra Crawford and Alex Harris
Young Adults and Whole-Life Discipleship -
with Isabella Senior and guest Matt Jolley and Ken Benjamin from LICC
Designated Person for Safeguarding workshop
- with the national Safeguarding Team
Saturday morning:
Baptists Together 'takeover' of the Telford parkrun
which takes place next to the Telford International Centre. Whether you run, jog, walk or would like to volunteer, there is a place for you and it is an all-age activity.
Bible study
- an hour of intimate Bible study spaces led by various leaders and groups from across Baptists Together.
The choice you make does not commit you to that session, but will give us an idea of preferences. Before Assembly, we will contact those who are considering getting involved in the parkrun in some way, with more information.
The Booking Process
'The Booker' will receive a summary of all the booking(s) made, including barcodes for each person in the booking to aid check-in at Assembly. You will need to keep this email confirmation so that you can show it on your phone, or print it out to bring with you.
If you are booking a place for yourself, please make sure that you add your own name to the list of delegates
.
Please check your email confirmation carefully and
contact the Baptist Assembly office
as soon as possible if you notice any errors in your booking.
Administration of this event
Isabella Senior is coordinating this event, but the booking package is being administered by our colleague Suzie Abramian at RiverTree. Please be aware that your personal data will be shared with RiverTree for the specific, one-off purpose of this event, in line with our
Privacy Policy
.
Please note that for some bookers, when your bank prompts you to authenticate your payment, the pop-up browser window from your bank may show the payment as £0. This is just part of the authentication process - please continue with the authorisation as you will be charged for the booking you are making. This only applies to some banks and they are working to resolve this issue. If you are unable to proceed with payment, please let us know.
