New tutors for Northern Baptist College

Northern Baptist Colleges has announced the appointment of two new part-time tutors

They are the Revd Dawn Cole-Savidge, Tutor For Diversity and Inclusion: LGBT+ People, and Ruth Wilde, Tutor For Diversity and Inclusion: People with Disabilities

Dawn SavidgeDawn ministers part-time with Bloomsbury Central Baptist Church in London. She is also Co-Director of Affirm and co-founder of the Soho Gathering.

She said, 'I'm very excited to be taking on this role with Northern Baptist College. 'Welcoming and affirming all into the family of Christ is the foundation and life blood of my ministry. I can't wait to see what God is going to do and what fruit we will yield together and how we will enrich our Baptist tradition as we respond to the Spirit.'

In such spare time as her toddler twins allow, Dawn enjoys all things artistic and creative.

Ruth WildeRuth is the National Coordinator of the Christian charity Inclusive Church and an Associate Tutor at Woodbrooke Quaker Learning and Research Centre in Birmingham. She has previously worked for the Student Christian Movement, where she was Faith in Action Project Worker, and for the US Anabaptist charity Christian Peacemaker Teams.

She is in the final months of study for an MA in Christian Contemporary Theology at Newman University. In her spare time, she enjoys keeping up her French and spending time outdoors with her wife and son.

Clara Rushbrook, Co-Principal, said, 'We have found two excellent new colleagues.  We look forward to all they will bring to NBC as we seek to become a more diverse, inclusive and welcoming community where all whom God calls can learn, grow and get stuck into mission and ministry.'

Dawn and Ruth will combine their new roles with their existing ministries.
