Get in the Picture

Cosby Community Church, Leicestershire, ran the Get In The Picture project in 2012 as part of a Family Fun/Christmas Crafts Day. Steve Salmen reports

'We were amazed at the response. People arrived early, called their family and friends to join them and then they all stayed for the whole day. We had commissioned a local artist to paint a Nativity Scene, rather than using dressing up clothes.

'This allowed us to use our people to run the all day café and four different craft activities which kept us and the children occupied whilst the parents and grandparents chilled out, drinking, eating and chatting.

'This year we have a new scene being painted so, if you are local and would like to borrow last year’s, please get in touch cosbycommchurch@btinternet.com.'
