Ugandan children's choir in Glasgow
Fields of Life, a 20th anniversary celebration tour by the 21-strong Ugandan children’s choir, is set to make its only Scottish appearance at Adelaide Baptist Church, Glasgow, this Sunday (6 October) at 7.30pm.
The choir, whose presence in the city is supported by the staff of Scottish car dealer Peter Vardy under the auspices of the company’s charitable organisation, the Peter Vardy Foundation, is touring the UK and giving performances throughout the country.
Martyn Bellshaw, Foundation Officer, said, 'We are very pleased to be supporting the concert as it is for a truly worthy cause.
'Fields of Life is a Christian organisation committed to collaborating with local communities and churches and the proceeds from the concert will go towards building a new school in Uganda.'
As part of the choir’s visit to Glasgow, Peter Vardy staff have arranged for choir members to enjoy a day sledging and having fun following their performance at snozone at XScape at Glasgow’s Braehead.
