Recognition of Ministers and Valediction of Mission Workers
The recognition of Baptist ministers transferred to the fully accredited list and the valediction of BMS World Mission workers took place on the Saturday evening session at the Baptist Assembly
As was the case at last year's Assembly, both groups shared the stage, rather than being recognised on two separate nights.
More than 80 ministers have transferred to the fully accredited list, as well as pastors and preachers who have been accorded recognition, since the last Assembly.
Countries where mission personnel will be serving include Mozambique, Uganda, Nepal and North Africa. A number have already travelled overseas to France, Bangladesh and North Africa.
'This is a very special and happy moment in our life as a Baptist family in this country,' said the Revd Jonathan Edwards, General Secretary of the Baptist Union of Great Britain.
