We are looking forward to hosting an Exploring Your Calling gathering alongside Baptist Assembly this year!

Exploring Your Calling 14-15 May

This is an opportunity for interns primarily, but it’s also open to 18-35s who may be wondering what’s next for them in ministry.

The event will take place on Wednesday 14 and Thursday 15 May at St Peter’s Baptist Church, Worcester. The programme will start at noon on the Wednesday and finish on Thursday evening.

Costs: £130 per person (we encourage local churches and associations to help fund this)
The costs include the programme, lunch and refreshments for the two days. Dinners are not included, but we hope to eat out together, so please bring some pocket money.

Accommodation: the church members of St Peter’s Baptist Church have kindly offered to host people in their homes on a first come first served basis. Places with hosts are not guaranteed, but we will do our best to match you with a church host if you select this option - and you will receive confirmation from Isabella Senior if a home-stay place is available for you. If you would prefer staying in a hotel nearby, we suggest having a look at the Premier Inns in Worcester, Booking.com or alternatively Airbnb options around there.

Baptist Assembly 16-17 May

This is the annual gathering of the Baptist movement and BMS World Mission, and is a fantastic opportunity to be inspired, learn and connect with others in the Baptist family across England and Wales. This year’s theme is United in Mission: global insight, local impact. This gathering is taking a lead on mission, evangelism and discipleship - offering a mission conference where inspiration, discernment, storytelling, resourcing and sharing good practice takes place.

The event will take place on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 May at Bethel Convention Centre, West Bromwich. The programme runs from 14:00-21:00 on Friday and 09:00-19:00 on Saturday. See more details on the Baptist Assembly website.

Costs: £89 per person (we encourage local churches and associations to help fund this)
The costs include the programme, dinner on the Friday and lunch on the Saturday.

Accommodation & transport: some of us will stay in Worcester for the nights but travel to and from there to the Bethel Convention Centre, West Bromwich each day. The car journey is about 30 miles. The train journey is about an hour and 15 minutes duration. Alternatively, you may prefer to stay in a hotel closer to the Convention Centre in West Bromwich.

We would love you to come for the whole package as it offers you an opportunity to reflect on your calling, be inspired in mission and connect with the wider Baptist family all in one go. The costs of both events combined is £219 with one meal per day included. Accommodation, transport and other meals are not included.
