This area provides the latest information and advice for churches.
The Government announced on 23 June a change to the regulations regarding the opening of places of worship, and on 29 June released detailed guidance for churches in England related to this. We have now published new guidelines for churches after 4 July, which is listed below. The situation for churches in other parts of the UK may differ.
Church buildings remain closed for services and weekday activities until 4 July, although the Government announced that churches may re-open for private prayer from Monday 15 June.
Further updates will follow as new government advice is issued.
As churches are no longer able to meet together in buildings, we want to encourage and help people to pray, both within our own churches and in the wider community. Please check out our resource section here to find ideas that could be used to lead people to prayer.
