I am the principal of Bristol Baptist College where, like the other colleges in membership with our union, we invest in the future by helping to equip and prepare the next generation of Baptist leaders. I teach mission, Baptist principles, Christian leadership and the Bible. Before moving to this role I was pastor of a local church for ten years. My original training was a lawyer but after qualifying as a solicitor I worked in community development in both inner London and the Peruvian mountains. Over the years I have been involved in a number of mission activities and organisations including ten years on the board of Tearfund. I am married to Becca who I met when we were both members of a Baptist church in Battersea. Our grown-up daughters, Debbie and Jen are both teachers. I like to relax by playing and watching football and by playing badminton and squash. I also enjoy walking, cycling, films and novels.
