Richard Wilson
Since January 2017, I have led the Support Services team based in Baptist House. We look after a number of “back-office” areas including finance, property, IT, legal and pensions. I’ve also been Treasurer of Caversham Baptist Church since 2009 and work hard to keep the perspective of a church treasurer and leader when considering work we do at the national level.
Prior to taking up my current role, I spent nearly 20 years working for commercial organisations in the IT, Technology and Telecommunications industries. I’ve led departments covering disciplines as varied as finance, IT, property, projects and programmes, technical design and network services, and had the challenge of motivating and leading teams as large as 500 people.
My wife Tamsyn is a Chemistry Teacher and we share the joys (and challenges!) of raising two children. For relaxation I play guitar and tennis (both not very well) and enjoy puzzles and occasional games of online chess.
