In the UK Methodist Church, pastoral supervision is mandated for all ministers and has become a mainstay of their CMD. The benefit to ministers in having a safe place to talk through ministry matters with a trained supervisor has been proved in both quantitative and qualitative assessment. So what's the fuss about? What is pastoral supervision, what would we gain from it, and how may it be accessed.
