Joint Public Issues Team
The JPIT Advent resources focus on stories of transformation.
This Advent, you are invited to explore what it means to step into transformational encounter with the divine. Each week, we will reflect on the transformational encounters experienced by those at Jesus’ birth, and think about this in the context of some of the issues we currently face as a society.

It includes sections on Stars, Travels, Gifts, Meeting Herod and Meeting Jesus.
2018 - 'Brexit Advent'
This series of readings, from the North West Baptist Association, are for the four Sundays of Advent. They are designed to be used while lighting the candles of an Advent wreath, but can be used in other ways either in communal worship or for personal reflection.
Practising for Christmas
Produced by the Seventy-two Network, Practising for Christmas is all about re-living the Christmas story through the lives of the characters we discover around the birth of Jesus. How does it work? Each day of Advent you will be invited to read a small part of one of the familiar passages from scripture related to Jesus’ coming into the world. Alongside this you can read a short reflection, which will highlight a particular ‘practice’.
