Introduction to Due Diligence Checking Ltd (DDC)
Our new DBS checking arrangements with DDC are now in place.
Over the last few months we have sent out information for churches and verifiers, and DDC have attempted to contact the main verifier at each church, college and association directly to introduce themselves and to set up access arrangements to the DDC system. We hope that you have received these communications and are feeling comfortable with the new process.
Getting Started
There is a large range of information on our new DBS checks pages or you can visit the Baptist section of the DDC website which includes information about the online process, the paper process, and some handy quick start guides.

New: BUGB Guide to the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Checks
To coincide with our changeover to DDC, we are also launching the first of our accompanying guides to Safe to Belong which is our guide to DBS checks. We hope that this will help everyone understand the DBS process and complement the resources from DDC.
You can download the BUGB Guide to DBS Checks for free in our Resource Library.
Thank you all for your patience and support during this transition period. We are excited to see the new system in action over the coming months and look forward to hearing your feedback (safeguarding@baptist.org.uk).
