Virtual Learning Administrator

Spurgeon's College has a worldwide reputation for its work in Christian theological education. Its mission is to provide Christ-centred, biblically-rooted training in discipleship for the practice of mission and ministry. This role is a part of our administration team within the Operations department. It is a fascinating, rewarding and busy job needing excellent administration, organisational, inter personal and IT skills.

Main Duties: The main duty of this role is to ensure the smooth day to day running of our virtual learning environment (Moodle) at the College. Being responsible for all aspects of moodle, from user creation to graduation, the post holder will administrate the whole learning cycle for users, as well as providing support to both academic and student users.

Person Specification: The post holder must have proven IT skills which includes working with web-based systems and an ability to edit both audio and video for the Virtual Learning Enviroment. Attention to detail, an ability to work as part of a team and being able to be sympathetic to the aims and values of the College are also essential. Previous experience of administering Moodle is desirable, but training will be given. The post holder will also be expected to demonstrate a proactive approach to developing their Moodle and IT skills as needed by the work.
