SEBAThe Arabic Community Church

ArabicCommChFamilyThe church was started in 2006 and it has around 25 Christians from Muslim backgrounds and is slowly growing with new families attending.  The church worships at Southern Cross Evangelical Church on Sundays with a Bible Study once a month after Sunday worship.

The church is involved in evangelism and mission to the local community in and around Brighton and Hove and this year (7-25 August 2016) will be conducting a Street Evangelism Project.

ArabicCommChThe Pastor, the Revd Gadalla Tiab, is also involved in putting together a Christian TV programme containing 13 episodes about his calling to ministry and what is involved in being a minister.  These episodes will also be transferred to a book.  The programmes will be aired in May this year in the Middle East, Europe and the USA.  The Catholic Church (with whom they closely work) has asked for another programme which will be based on Paul’s letter to the Philippians.  There will also be two live episodes, one about Hezekiah and the other about forgiveness.

Three things to praise God for:

  1. Our church members who are faithful in worship and fellowship.
  2. That we continue to be enthusiastic and positive as we serve God and look to our 10th Anniversary on 24 September 2016.
  3. The new people, mostly with Muslim backgrounds, who have become members since our Annual Conference last year.

Four things to ask God for:

  1. People who will pray for us as God uses us in Brighton during the Discipleship course running the first week of August.
  2. Our Egyptian Mission in July 2016.
  3. The Evangelism Street Project in August when two groups (one from Egypt and the other from South Africa) will be taking part.
  4. For Pastor Gadalla and him being Accredited as a Minister by the Baptist Union of Great Britain.

Three things to thank God for:
PastorGadalla
  1. For the funding from Baptist Home Mission to enable the church to continue.
  2. For the prayerful support of South Eastern Baptist Association (SEBA) Ministers and Churches
  3. For all SEBA Leaders who enable Gadalla (pictured, far left) to feel cared for and supported in his ministry.
